My first actually-useful Python list comprehension

This list comprehension returns a list containing all element zeros from a list of lists:

>>> matrix = [
...    [1, 5, 9],
...    [2, 6, 10],
...    [3, 7, 11, 14],
...    [4, 8, 12],
... ]
... print(str([row[0] for row in matrix]))
...
[1, 2, 3, 4]

As adapted from the official docs.
